The chocolates

Every piece starts with couverture chocolate, the professional grade with a high share of cocoa butter. Caramel is cooked from scratch with real cream. No artificial colors or flavors.

How pickup works

There's no storefront. Barnes To Table is made in a home kitchen in Shawnee, so every pickup is arranged ahead.

  1. Order ahead

    Order on her online shop, or call, text or email to set it up another way.

  2. Dena gets in touch

    Once your order is put together, she contacts you to arrange a pickup day and time.

  3. Pick up in SE Shawnee

    Monday to Saturday. She brings it out to you in the driveway. The address comes with your pickup time.

Paying another way? Email Dena to order with cash or Venmo. She takes 5.6% off for cash and 2.5% off for Venmo.

“What started out as a little hobby gig I was doing for family and friends occasionally, turned into something official.”

Barnes To Table is owned and operated by Dena Barnes, a one-woman show in Shawnee. Her goal is beautiful, tasty and clean couverture chocolates, plus occasional other high-quality treats, made with premium ingredients she spends a lot of time choosing.

That means chocolate made without soy lecithin, caramel made with heavy cream that has no gums or polysorbate 80, no high fructose corn syrup, and colors blended from natural pigments.

Everything is made by her own hands. Special requests are welcome, and you can arrange to come try a sample when one is available.

Ingredients & allergens

Couverture means the highest quality chocolate, with a high percentage of cocoa butter. It is the chocolate industry's professional standard, and very different from grocery store chocolate, candy melts or almond bark.

Each product listing on her order page gives that item's full ingredients.

Dark chocolate
Cacao beans, cane sugar, cocoa butter, sunflower lecithin, vanilla beans.
Milk chocolate adds
Full cream milk and lactose.
Caramel
Organic cane sugar, grade A heavy whipping cream, water, vanilla extract, Himalayan salt, sea salt.
Keto chocolate
Unsweetened chocolate, erythritol, inulin, cocoa butter, sunflower lecithin, stevia extract, vanilla.
Colors
Food-grade natural pigments (iron oxide, mica-based pearlescent). No artificial colors or flavors.
